The tour shows the Birth Center family room, two birth rooms, supplies at the ready
and the examination room. The Birth Center has an outdoor space for family and laboring
moms who want a little fresh air and sunshine.
Volunteers help us keep the outside area beautiful.
At WHBC, women take an active role during labor, deciding how they want to be positioned and how active they prefer to be. The Birth Center offers group and private classes to prepare women and their partners for the pre– and post–partum experience. Continuous support during active labor speeds the process and cuts down on unnecessary procedures. Volunteer doulas are also available.
These photos show a water birth at the Birth Center. Water immersion is a popular choice as it helps many women relax. Click this link or the photo at right to see the slideshow.
