Women's Health & Birth Center provides excellent family-centered care in the safest, most nurturing environment possible.

At the WHBC pregnancy is considered a normal condition, not an illness, and the midwives devote extra time to education and to accommodating the mother's personal needs and desires.

Our Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) — registered nurses with advanced training and board certification in pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecology — offer a more emotionally satisfying experience of pregnancy and childbirth without unnecessary technological intervention.

ginko leaf Why we love the Birth Center

ginko leaf I love the W.H.B.C. and that is why I work here! I was raised with a mother who was a midwife, and an aunt who is a midwife, and all of my friends' mothers were midwives! Working at a birthing center run by Certified Nurse Midwives is very natural to me because I was raised around very strong women who believed in birth. I work at the Birth Center because it gives women the strength and support to believe in their own abilities. Getting to hold babies at the 6 week postpartum visits is always a plus!

Amber Hulsey, Staff Support

ginko leaf Working at the Birth Center has allowed me the opportunity to work as a team with many families to help them plan for the arrival of their new additions. Here at the WHBC I can help clients take control of their pregnancy and the birth of their new baby. Giving our clients the sense of empowerment that they rightfully deserve and possess is the best feeling.

Claudia Reyes, C.P.H.W., Front Office Manager
